Today, the transport sector represents a quarter of total CO2 emissions. The World Energy Council projects that this could be 80% higher in 2050. However, with clear policies that empower governments, the public and private sector to intervene, we could limit this increase to 15%.
Dr Karl Rose and Dr Ayed Al-Qahtani, World Energy Council, will detail the findings of a yearlong study and discuss the implications for fuel demand, technology mix and emissions.
- Venue: The Royal Society of Chemistry, Chemistry Centre, Burlington House, Piccadilly, London, W1J 0BA
